Instructions for Downloading and Installing Lucid Software


Some Lucid Application require Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) Version 2.81.  MDAC Version 2.81 is already installed on Windows XP with Service Pack 2.  It is difficult to determine if MDAC is installed on your system.  If you need assistance, please see the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of the following Microsoft link:  Microsoft TechNet Support Bulletin 

Download Instructions:

  1. Select a temporary download directory location to download the software, such as 'C:\Lucid'. 
  2. Go to the appropriate Lucid Enterprises product page and find the 'Download Evaluation Copy' button.
  3. Press this button to download the the software.  If you are asked for a download location, select the location selected in step 1.  Some browsers have a default location where the files will be downloaded:  Make a note of this download location for the next step.

  4. Locate the file that you just downloaded, typically <ProgramName>.exe (The <ProgramName> varies based on the product that you downloaded.

  5. Double-Click on the downloaded file to begin the installation process.  Note: You may receive a message saying that the publisher could not be verified.  You should ignore this message and press 'Run'.

  6. Verify that you would like to install the application by pressing 'OK'

  7. Start the Setup process, which will unzip the files and start the Setup Process.

  8. If required, MDAC will be installed automatically, just follow the Microsoft MDAC instructions.
  9. Indicate that you agree to the End User License Agreement.
  10. If asked for a Serial Number, enter 'DEMO' if you are evaluating the software, otherwise enter the Serial Number that you received when you purchased your software.
  11. Start the program by double-clicking on the Lucid Application ICON placed on your desktop.
  12. Some Lucid Applications contain additional security requirements for logging into the application.  Click on the 'HELP' button of the Application Logon Screen to obtain the default User Names and Passwords.
  13. Once the application has been installed, the files placed in the selected download directory may be erased.
